Lion’s Gate Recovery: Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) With Sober Living

Lion’s Gate Recovery’s Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) provides structured clinical treatment several days per week while allowing clients to work, attend school, or rebuild daily routines. When paired with sober living, IOP becomes a powerful level of care that offers accountability, connection, and stability during early recovery.

  • Step-down from PHP or inpatient treatment
  • Strong dual-diagnosis support
  • Flexible schedule for real-life reintegration
  • Integrated sober living housing
  • Clinical therapy + accountability
  • Long-term relapse-prevention support

IOP + sober living helps clients stay anchored and supported while transitioning into greater independence.

What Is Intensive Outpatient (IOP)?

IOP is a structured therapeutic program providing multiple weekly group sessions, individual therapy, relapse-prevention training, and clinical oversight. Clients attend treatment several days per week while living at home or in sober living.

Why Combine IOP With Sober Living?

Sober living enhances IOP by providing drug- and alcohol-free housing, curfews, accountability, peer support, and structured routines. IOP provides treatment during the day. Sober living provides stability at night.

Clinical Services in IOP

Clients receive individual therapy, group therapy, trauma-informed care, dual-diagnosis treatment, relapse-prevention education, and life-skills development. Modalities may include CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, EMDR (when appropriate), and mindfulness-based practices.

Step-Down to Outpatient & Aftercare

After completing IOP, clients transition to outpatient care and long-term aftercare planning. Many continue in sober living to reinforce structure, accountability, and stability during full reintegration.
